Contrasting Landscape Drawing

This lesson explores the work of Jen Aranyi and her watercolour landscape paintings. Students will work to create their own landscape using watercolour paint, fine liners and collage techniques. Students will experiment with a variety of techniques to create a layered collage inspired by Aranyi.

Year level suitability: 2 – Secondary

Duration: Approximately 2 lessons

Materials:

• Thick cartridge paper or watercolour paper

• Watercolour paints

• Fine liner

• Thin card

• Thick corrugated cardboard

• Glue

• Scissors
