This lesson explores monochromatic colours as students mix tints and shades to create their own tones with acrylic paint. Students will analyse the work of Huang Chun-pi and his landscape paintings before creating their own monochromatic landscape collage using painted papers.
Year level suitability: 3 – Secondary

Materials:
- Acrylic paint
- Cartridge paper or card (200gsm +)
- Glue
- Scissors
- Paint brushes
- Paint palettes
- Palette knives (optional, can use paint brushes to mix)
