“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” – Thomas Merton
Being a teacher is hard, and teaching visual arts can bring many challenges. Whether you’re a new art teacher starting out or a seasoned professional who doesn’t have time to do all the paperwork, let Art EdVentures lighten your load.
Over the years, we’ve built and developed hundreds of art programs and lesson plans. Working with schools across Australia, we’ve learned that every school is different. This means each art teacher needs to adapt their program to fit their unique students and environment.
Sure, finding lesson plans online is easy—there are tons of free and paid options. But if you don’t know how to adjust those ideas to your specific situation, you might run into trouble down the road or be paralysed by choice.
So what is consultancy all about? Well, really, it’s all about you! We like to start these sessions with an initial conversation to understand you, how you work, and what you’re working with in your school, your students, and the resources available. From there, you can let us know what you need. Whether that be lesson plans, a whole art scope and sequence that actually meets curriculum requirements, tips and tricks with materials, or how to stretch your budget, we can help with all of that.
From the initial consultancy, we work in the background constructing whatever resources you need so you can focus on being with your students and actually teaching! The consultancy session will also count towards your professional development hours, and a certificate can be provided for your records.
